I think patience is good, however it would be nice to see the team make a splash every now and then.

When Bettman walks up to mike and say "I have a trade to announce", it would be cool to see the Jets being one of the team be involved. I think it is completely okay to be cautious and on the other hand, building a winning franchise does involve a certain element of risk.

Laine had better be the pick at 2!! I've seen them make some off the board picks before. Pulijujarvi will be a great player as well but the jets need a sniper! what are the chances they don't draft laine....

I agree with everything you said except, Perrault, Stafford and Jokinen ARE NOT notable UFA's. Winnipegers love Perrault but he's nevergone over 43 points, gets pumped up a bit too much around here.

one surprise but realistic trade could be;

22 over all plus one of Burmi/Lowry/Copp for Stepan or Brassard

Deja Vu Pete? The Jets take a Fin in the top 10 that will be an elite fwd in this league for years. Hopefully had the same success as the last one did but hopefully with better fortunes for the team overall

Super jealous you guys will most likely get Laine. He seems like he wants to prove something to people, and players like that usually meet and surpass expectations. Jets are gonna be a fun team to watch.

I think 2 of the 3 there could be had @ 36... go on a limb and say Rubstov, Fabbro or Gauthier @ 22. and I think they keep the pick now because of the expansion draft.

That would be the guy.. wouldn't surprise me if the Jets did take him @ 22.
